Wheel Mopar

dodge a question for all you Mopar guys.?

I have a 83 Dodge truck, wheelbase, single cab. had an engine fire that burned the wiring harness and I went and bought a set of cables from a nearby Dodge Ramcharger for the same year. both had 318 in them, so I figured wouldnt differ much. was put in a whole and plugs, but the transmission harness. only two plugs coming from the trans firewell. I think that only controls my reverse lights and neutral safety switch maybe a sensor or two. my truck does not have overdrive so I'm stuck. Does anyone know if this harness Ramcharger it fits my truck? perhaps could splice the wires of the trans. harness? if I can what color goes with what?

The harness should "bolt in "as, if not after 1986. The transmission cables are Black, Black with a white stripe tracer, and Brown. Some trucks have purple, white, and cables black.
