1200 watt sub with dual voice, what size amp?

i recently bought a 1200 watt sub with dual voice and am not sure of what size amp to get, someone please help me out, thanks

First, you have to determine what the “RMS power” of your sub is. Then you’ll want to match that with an amp of the same “rms” power. If it’s a dual 4 ohm sub you’ll want a mono amp that’s stable at 2 ohms. If dual 2 ohm, then you’ll need a 2 channel or amp stable at 1 ohm.
