Was Wrecked

What is my wrecked car worth to an auto salvage yard?
My 1994 Dodge Intrepid was in prefect running condition, I was in my car at the traffic light when I was rear-ended and the car was totaled out. Now I have to get rid of it and thought an auto salvage yard might want it for parts. But I don’t know what to sell it for. Does anyone have any idea? The Salvage yards are in a rural area of Louisiana. Please help.
Oh yes, it has about 170,500 miles on it.
I wouldn’t expect anything for it. I know that in the area I live in or further into the country/ quebec there are a lot of mechanics who own garages and buy cars just like this to fix up and resell. I would go try and find something like that first since they may give you upwards of 300-500 for it. You would need to cover towing though if they don’t have their own truck. (In all honesty though a towing fee isn’t much)
However here is a list of things you could probably salvage yourself and are all very easy to take off the car. Also my estimated prices but go on ebay or something and check out what they’re actually selling for:
Catalytic converter: easy to remove, $100-250
Mass airflow sensor: even easier to remove, $30-70
Battery: ridiculously easy to remove (generally just a single screw): $depends on age
Deck: easy, but dunno price
Any aftermarket parts you may have: (replacement stuff)
Tires: lol
Wheels: Alloys will sell for a good price, easy to remove
That’s pretty much it for easy stuff. If you are going to get another intrepid then there’s a bunch of other stuff I would take so that you can save money on future repairs for your new car. (Near future since it is a dodge). pay a mechanic to take out some parts for you such as brakes can save you hundreds if they’re in good condition, anything on your front end really i.e. struts, balljoints, etc. Also look up common rust spots for that vehicle and take that part too depending on if you have room for all this junk (junk that will save you way more than you pay to get them removed though).
If you don’t want any of this hassle which I can fully understand, put an ad (usedanywhere.com is a good one) saying your situation and I’m positive you’ll have lots of other GM owning suckers who will flock to your gold mine of parts. Charge them about half of what they woudl pay anywhere else and make them remove it themselves. OR just get it towed and never look back.

A fishing boat off a rocky coast in a storm with a wreck Photo Mugs A favourite theme of Dutch marine paintings was ships wrecked on rocky shores. This fascination may be attributable to the flat, undramatic nature of most of their coastline but it also carried symbolic significance. This interpretation of ships heading for destruction on the rocks shows a continuous narrative, with the boat on the far left in a heavy sea, while the ship in the middle distance has… |

The Mordaunt Photo Mugs The Mordaunt, fourth Rate, built in 1681, 46 guns, was bought for the navy from Lord Mordaunt in 1683, and wrecked ten years later. The pendant flying from the main mast suggests that when the drawing was made she was already a naval ship and therefore a date of 1683 or later is likely. It was probably made as a preparatory study for an oil painting now in a private collection commissioned to mark… |
