Volt Readout

11.8 volts readout too low?
This is while my subwoofers are at full volume and it only reads this low for a second or two. Is this too low of a voltage?
This means your electrical system can’t keep up with your power needs. You should consider upgrading the “BIG 3″ with a 1/0 ga cable and also upgrading your alternator. My system now never dips below 13.8 volts when driving and my audio system is being pushed to abt. 120 dB. I have the audio control epi-center with the volts and dB meter built in. I know it is not accuate, but it gives me an idea of how many dBs it is at. It is fun tto watch it increase. It did measure 128 dB. The joy of it all…lol

If your headlight dims with the bass notes, the “BIG 3” might work. If not an H.O. alternator will be needed, or else be prepared to pour a lot of $$$ for batteries.
This site explains the “BIG 3″ upgrades.

I’ve designed my car for SQ (Sound Quality) not SPL (Sound Pressure Level) my imaging is very good. The bass sounds as if it is up front and my 12 inch sub (picture as shown) in the trunk. I LOVE how it all worked out.
