Turbo Automatic

Where is it and how do you replace the oil pump on a 93 mercury capri automatic non turbo?
Major job to replace as they are inside the engine…. why do you need to replace the oil pump, they will last longer than your car and is very rare that they go bad… so rare I only have know of two that stopped working in 40 + years.. one destroyed the engine and the other one we we lucky with as it stopped working when we started the engine. The oil pump works or it does not work so you don’t need to just replace it. That one cost $800 to replace.
(the asker sent me a nice e mail and must say he does have a problem.. don’t believe his oil pump is bad, but does sound like he has a problem.. I wish him good luck with it and hope he can get it repaired easily)
