The best way to go about cutting the cat's claws
Trim cat's nails has never been part of the normal routine of a cat. It only took through the domestication of cats. Before the cat were domesticated, living in the wild. They were small, soft animals, stuffed animals we know and love. They were bigger and more aggressive. They hunted, finding shelter and live a life of survival. They were not accustomed to the comforts of life. The environment maintains its claws trimmed and healthy.
Cats are living life in poor condition. They eat, have a safe place to sleep and usually need not do anything but eat and rest. From the ground they walk on is mostly indoors, there are few chances that came their claws, of course, but grow in a very sharp edge.
This is not healthy for the cat, the owner or inside the house. A cat's claws can rip furniture, curtains, carpets, etc. It also can leave deep scratches in the skin. The worst that can happen is that the claws A cat stuck in something and a nail is torn or ripped. This is very painful for the cat and can cause bleeding or infection.
One way to get your nails your pet is trimmed to bring them to the vet every two weeks. However, this can be very expensive and most people do not have the money or time to do this every two weeks. Like most cats hate having their nails trimmed, many homeowners neglect the task of cutting up you can not wait.
Trim Cat Claws
Here are some things to consider whether to take the same job:
1) Purchase a Special clippers for cats. Although not perfect, they are still better than regular nail clippers made for human use.
2) Buy a small jar of powder to stop any bleeding. This can be found at your local pet supply. The nails too short can bleed and bleeding should stop immediately.
3) To expose the claws, gently press the foot. The nails are forced to leave. Once the nail is exposed, just cut the tip. Cats have blood vessels running the length of the nail. Cut the nail too deep and the nail will bleed. This is extremely painful for the cat. The cat may try to bite, hiss and scratch to escape.
4) Conduct a flashlight in the nail shows the location of blood vessels. However, it is still a bit of a chore to make sure you do not cut too deep. Start with small cuts only small. Your cat will become very sensitive as to be closer to blood vessels. Be very careful when you see your cat react.
5) If you see blood, stop immediately and add a little powder to the nail. It will be very difficult to track once a nail begins to bleed. The cat becomes pain and less than an ideal patient for shorter nails.
With a steady hand and some experience, a person can do the work themselves. If the owner is concerned about the cause of pain or injury to the pet, then it is best to use a professional to complete the cut for you.
