Instrument Panel Cluster won’t work after jump start?
I have a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue and it sat for a while. I periodically ran it for around 20 minutes throughout about 5 months. When I last went to start it I had to jump start it. Now the enitire instrument panel cluster does not work. I have no tachometer, speedometer, fuel guage, odometer, or temperature guage, and none of the warning lights (like seatbelt) work.
When I remove one fuse, it does not appear blown or anything but then everything starts working again, without a fuse in it.
What could the problem be?
You said REMOVING a fuse makes things work? That is exactly the OPPOSITE of what should happen. It sounds like you have a fried wire somewhere in the circuit controlled by that fuse that is shorting the instrment pannel circuit.
