Paint Manifold
Im about to take off my intake manifold..?
what do i need to replace?
I want to paint the intake manifold, and heard that you need to replace the gasket, and the bolts (because they stretched out).
is there anything else?.
idk if this will help out, but i have a 1986 200sx s12, with a ca20e engine.
also, what will be under the intake manifold?
so i dont need to replace the bolts? im pretty sure i would need a new gasket, because its well over 20 years old
kenbgray- because i like to do a nice and thorough job.. if i take it off, then i can hit it from all angles.. it will look better
ok you shouldnt have to replace anything if the removal went smoothly. when you remove the intake manifold youll see the lower half of the intake manifold. there will be a smooth surface with holes in it. its really simple. if you would like me to explain better just ask
