Bipolar NOS (not specified) Help me!

I have just been dx with bipolar disorder not otherwise specified. I'm still learning all I can about this, but no, it does not seem to be a lot of information on the Internet. If anyone has or knows anything about it please let me know. For people who have it, you can tell how is life. How long have you had that? Any bad episodes since treatment? Have their medications stopped working? I know all the effects of differently but I'm not just trying to educate myself I'm trying to educate my family. I have been going to the doctor every week for the past three weeks and is having keep a chart in my moods. I have 46 rears old and I am very nervous about what my future. I'm in Lamicatal increase to 25 mg and 100 mg in 5 weeks. I also I'm Kolnipin panic attacks, a very low dose of 0.5 mg twice daily. I weigh about 115 pounds and think any would be much higher dose. I also heard voices, do one of the scouts who have Bipolar NOS? Thanks for your help. Cella

Bipolar NOS is a lot like a bipolar disorder and bipolar 2 – any research these will help you learn more about their disease. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder 2 March and immediately started on Lamictal. It is a good drug and works fine for me so far. I've only had a few bad episodes since I started treatment, but I added more drugs and now everything is manageable. I agree that from low dose is best, but do not be afraid to ask your drug or a different one if yours is not working well enough for you. Good luck!
