How can I save my fountain pen ink cartridges?

I have a set of three pens (different nibs) and 8 colors of ink cartridges in the plastic tubes. My question is this… If I want to put a color aside for a while, is there a way to save a half empty tube of ink?

I’d just put it in a baggie and make sure it’s upright so it doesn’t spill. I don’t think ink evaporates.
