Can I put a turbocharger into my 2005 Dodge neon SXT?
I have an automatic 2005 dodge neon SXT. it has about 39,000 miles on it and has a cool air intake with a new exhaust system. Would I be able to put a turbocharger in it? if so, what kind should I get? and could i install it myself? If you could, please tell me all you can, i will really appreciate it. Thanks!
Yes, can easily turbocharge your Neon. With a good setup and tune, 200whp at 8lbs of boost is safe on your SOHC.
How you turbocharge your neon is up to you. You have hahn racecraft that sells a complete turbo kit.
The other option is a bit tougher because one part isn’t made anymore. But there are alot of SOHC neons running srt4 turbofolds. The part not being made anymore is an adapter plate to mate the turbofold to your head. Beside that, you need some sort of engine management setup, intercooler and a bunch of other parts.
