GI bill kicker when switching to Reserves?

I was not offered the GI Bill Kicker or any enlistment bonuses when I signed my contract with the USMCR, I don’t really feel right at the school I’m at now and my unit is deploying. I want to deploy, but in order to do that I have to switch to Reserves..If I switch to Reserves, can I negotiate to get the GI Bill Kicker, or even if I go Active Duty..is it like signing a new contract? I started getting my GI bill, but it isn’t nearly enough and I didn’t get any help for school and running short on funds. Without going ROTC contract, do I have any opportunities to get more money? If not, I guess I’m going Active!

if you didnt get the gi bill kicker the first time then you most likely didnt qualify for it. not everyone gets it. but you did get the gi bill. therefore you dont get to have it again. if you either go reserves or active you WILL NOT be offered the gi bill again beacuse you have already had it. similarly you are not going to be qualified for an ROTC scholarship either for the same reasons. what you should have done is while you were in is to take advantage of the tuition assitance program and saved you gi bill money for once you got out.

so basically here it its. no more gi bill money for you. not getting an ROTC scholarship. so either go reserves or active duty, but this time take advantage of the tuition assistance while your in.
