How hard is it to add OEM Nav to a 2005-2007 Model Audi A3?

I am thinking about buying an A3 from a friend of mine. It doesnt have Nav but from the pics of Photos of Cars with NAV it looks like all you do is move the Climate control down in the lower part of the Console and then that would free up the Space. I priced the OEM unit on EBay its about 500. Also I found instructions on the web for doing it in an A4 would these still be the same?

it is built into the stereo unit one just pulls out and the other pushes in.
