Snowboard goggle lens tint vs conditions?

I recently bought a pair of Von Zipper Arden (Lazy Sunday) glasses with lenses of chrome blue smoke (25% VLT?; The performance in terms of sun and clouds, as shown.) Seem to do great on the slopes of Bear Valley Tahoe but I have my reservations about the color of the lens to the climate of Colorado. Glasses indicate that they are dual-layer anti-fog coated cylindrical for clear viewing in all conditions.
