What is the average annual maintenance cost of a Jetta TDI?
I am looking to buy a new car, and serious thought to a Jetta TDI 2006. My main concern is his reputation in recent years have all sorts of mechanical problems after 4-5 years. Can anyone verify this, and how much is spent annually in maintenance (regular and incidental)?
Hmm .. great question .. I have a 2005 Jetta 2.5LII would you expect to have a fee of $ 250-450 each about 10K miles .. Yes, you can take to other places then the dealer .. but the dealer knows what needs to be replaced at intervals some, such as hoses / valves .. If I were you even could find a TDI of 05 .. could be a little cheaper and allow you to meet expenses and due to unforeseen repairs. Also … VW obtain a quality certificate. This is key to saving money on repairs .. This is what I have .. and all the problems mechanics are covered for 2 years 24K miles .. and you benefit from the people who made regular dealer maintenance expensive ..
