Why is my connection for iPod only play when the iPod is tilted forward?

(My connection to iPod is fairly new and has not had no damage. Recently, when I put my ipod nano doesn't play music properly unless you lean forward at an angle. I supported then that something behind him. Does anyone have any suggestions, ideas, advice, knowledge or thoughts on this? It would be really grateful. Your iPod comes with a stand base intended to serve that purpose and is meant only for your model of iPod. You must be on the bench only to the 30 pins to connect.
