Can you make my motor to give a loud roar when accelerating?

I drive a '02 Ford Explorer Sport and I am planning to replace the muffler factory with a flowmaster, but not only changes the sound you hear from outside? I used to drive a Mercury Sable and, believe it or not, the engine really put a some nice, roaring sound when accelerating. Meanwhile, the Explorer, with a 4.0L V6, manages to sound like a Prius haha Will the new muffler help the engine to free a growl louder, or am I stuck with the way it is? Thanks

Add a cold air intake or something. The action shots are designed to reduce noise, a bit like the stock muffler. I put a cold air intake neon sign once and began to growl even more. Also made for a Camaro 3.8L, with the same result. Perhaps taking a chance that your new exhaust system?
