E85 (a fuel mixture 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline) is used in internal combustion engines (ie, gasoline engines). The gasoline is added to provide good cold start and hot performance due to the low volatility of ethanol, which translates into greater difficulties of vaporization in a cold start. Your car will be more difficult to initiate and tend to face until hot.
