Faceplate Tested
Buyer broke item and wants a refund and threatens to sue. If he sues me will I have to go to court?
I sold an xbox 360 to a guy on craigslist and he came to my house and tested it before he bought it. A few hours later he emailed me saying it is broken, there are loose parts inside and the faceplate is broken.
He wants a refund or he is going to sue me.
Can he actually sue me and will I have to go to court?
What happens next?
If I were you I’d let him take you to court. He doesn’t have a chance. He tested it before he took it. In court he will have to present evidence that you broke it which you didn’t so don’t give him a refund.
