How do you use a vertical tray load DVD drive?

The mini desktop computer I bought has a slim case where the tray DVD player is mounted vertically. Full size disks seem to sort of snap in the tray and you can play them OK. However, I got a 3″ disk that kept falling out when I closed the door because there is no snapping action. I had to turn the case on its side so the drive was right side up. Any other solutions? Also, is there any problem using the computer on its side? The vent holes work OK.

It’s alright to use the computer on its side as long as the vents are not blocked.
As for the 3′ disc, you can look for an adapter to make it as the size of an ordinary CD. Look for it on some electronics and CD shops.
