Why do people think Japanese Tuners are better than American Muscle?

I don’t get it. American Muscle Cars were and still are great but now more people are interested in these little cars. Their cheap and some are illegal in the U.S. for emissions. My dad has a 1972 Dodge Dart Demon with 340 in it. Restoring it and it sounds great. How can any little weed whacker compare to the sound of Muscle

Personal preference.

Not everybody likes the sound of an unbalanced American V8 and lots of people like to go around corners too, something that rear wheel drive, solid axels, and leaf springs make very difficult. Many modern unmodified Japanese and domestic four cylinder cars would even embarrass the Dart 340 at the stop light, like the Subaru WRX STi, or the Mazdaspeed 3.

Not hating on muscle cars, they’re just not everybodys thing. I’m more of a Mercedes SL500 kind of guy. Now you want to talk about torque!!
