Is $ 850 for repairing a door lock jammed acceptable?

My Honda CRV 98 lock right rear door and the door jammed not open. My Honda dealer says it may have to break the door from the inside costs about $ 850 for a new interior panel and lock. He already took almost $ 100 just to check and broke the plastic lock presumabully trying to pull with brute force. Am I being cheated? Could it be those repairs made at other repair shops?
