What do I need to check on the AC on my 1990 Mercury Cougar LS? Having problems with it working off and on.?
I have a 1990 Mercury Cougar LS, and am having AC problems. It works off and on, and I’ve checked the freon levels and it looks good. Is there a low pressure switch or something that could be bad? When its working its good and cold.
Some Fords have a wide open throttle relay that cuts off the compressor. If you have this it could be that relay.
Or you might have too big a gap in you a/c compressor clutch.
