How much does it cost to convert a car into a convertible?

I have a Dodge Charger and I know that these days you can do anything, anytime as you have the money. I've also seen some celebrities turn Rolls Royce Phantoms in drop tops. So what would be an estimate of how much would cost to turn a car that is not a conv. one?

I've seen the 300C became a convertible, and it looks like shit. You have to have the top removed and then put back on with pins and a pair of jeans. This work was an inexpensive, the guys who did a lot of brag, and was about $ 6000. presumed unjustified. A very good, as West Coast Customs Pimp My Ride fame could pull it off, but it would cost more than the car, and you lose your space in the trunk when the roof is open. Your warranty is void and your insurance company tell you to lose. Hell it cost my friend $ 4000 just to make your new sliding sunroof in his BMW 650.
