Block Class

A guy in my 2nd block class told me crickets do not have feelings. Is this true?

He said if you pull there legs off they dont feel it because they dont have feelings ( I think he means nerves or what ever causes things to feel). He said a lot of insects and animals dont have feelings. I thought everything had feelings.

Jiminy Cricket was full of feelings and emotions.

Insects, such as crickets, are equipped with a brain and central nervous system
and therefore are aware and do feel when one of their apendages is torn off.

What an insect’s biological make-up is capable of is isolating or inhibiting responses
in sections of its’ body, thus allowing it to survive for a time after such an injury.

This makes it possible for the creature to hopefully fulfill its’ life’s mission
of mating or laying eggs to produce young to carry-on the species line.
