I have a black GE cordless phone 900 mz. How do I take apart the handset to repair it?

The earphone jack seems to be malfunctioning. I can hear when I use an optional headset, but not without the headset. The switch in the earphone jack seems to be stuck or something.

I would recommend against using a 900 mhz phone, because it can easily be intercepted and listened in on with a radio scanner.

the handset is not designed to be opened up or serviced. take off the battery door, and remove the battery. remove any stickers that may be on the back of the unit, check for screws, if there are any you will proballay need a precision screwdriver set to get the screws out, if not you are going to have to use a small flat screwdriver to pry it open (good luck getting it put back together if you have to pry it apart)

phones are pretty cheap now… go get yourself a 2.4 ghz , 5.8 ghz or one of those new DECT phones…
