I have a big block Chevy 427 with problems in the # 5 cylinder …?
I have a 427 engine with BBC's something wrong with the No. 5 cylinder, spark plug is black and the compression indicator only reads 60psi when the rest of the cylinders of reading more than + 180 psi. The symptom of running on seven cylinders is a burp when the floor in the carburetor. I want this problem fixed hopefully as cheaply as possible. Thanks in advance, please send me an email. thayer1191@yahoo.com its not really a backfire or anything, but when you go to fast full throttle, it takes a second to catch up. but you can get speed gradually and works well.
Im guessing you have a headgasket or cracked valves Postage **.
